‘Ripple’ combines two identical halves of iridescent paper into a single harmonious ellipse.
The full effect of the sculpture is revealed as the colours and textures shift under changing light.
A specially selected iridescent paper adds shadows, highlights, and subtle warm and cool colour that accentuate the form and reflect its surroundings.
The sculpture is framed as a diptych, and floats off its background to accentuate its lightness.
‘Ripple’ is on show at the Royal West of England Academy from the 25th of January to the 27th of April 2025.
